Modular by design. Faster by default.

By integrating the smart meter directly into the Basis Board, the meter stops being a separate bolt‑on box. Fewer parts, a faster and safer install, and a system that already does what advanced tariffs and load control need.

"The metering install is definitely one of the easiest I've done so far. I would highly, highly recommend anyone to get one."

An integrated system, not a bolt‑on box.

Metering, built for modern homes and changing industry.

Advanced tariffs, supported today

A revenue-grade AMI meter measuring both import and export. This is what time-of-use pricing runs on, and the Electricity Authority is moving the market towards it.

Install once, ready for what's next

Load control runs through the Basis Board's circuits, so an EV charger and a hot water cylinder can be managed at the same time. Adding it later is a configuration change, not a rewire.

Data your retailer can bill on

High resolution 30min-interval consumption data, delivered to your energy retailer automatically.

Built for the tariffs that reward smarter use.

Time of use paired with a Basis Board gives your customer the best shot at cutting their bill, because it rewards the load shifting the board makes easy.

Controlled and inclusive load

Some homes are on a controlled or inclusive load setup. Moving to Basis requires moving to a supported tariff pathway, so it is a conversation to have before install day. Send us the ICP and we will confirm the right pathway.

How it works. Simple deployment from start to finish.

  1. 01

Organise meter with Basis and Energy Retailer

The Basis Meter is ordered from the retailer via a new connection or meter change request. Our metering team will guide you through this. No separate meter box, no future retrofits needed.

For builders/developers

One board, one install. An efficient site.

Simpler for you

The meter integrates into the Basis Board, so there's no separate meter enclosure required in most cases. Specify it once and know your sites are livened quickly, and are ready for your customer's future energy needs.

Better for your customers

A home ready for solar export, load control and future utility flex requirements without rework, on a tariff that rewards using power when it is cheap.
