Insights has a fresh new look, designed to make it easier to understand your energy use, compare patterns, and spot trends over time.

We’ve made Insights easier to access by bringing it front and centre on the Home tab.

How does it work?

The Home screen now features a carousel of Insights cards that give you a quick, real-time snapshot of today’s usage, costs, and solar trends. Tap each card to explore that insight in more detail.

You can choose from a range of Insights cards to add to your Home:

• Electricity Rates (Time of Use)
• Energy Cost
• Energy Usage
• Solar Generation
• Usage Breakdown
• Circuit Insight

To see the full Insights overview, tap “Insights” above the carousel on the Home screen.

Adding Insight cards

There are a few ways to add an Insight card:

• Tap the “+” card at the end of the carousel on the Home tab
• Tap “+ Add Card” on the Insights screen
• On iOS, long-press any Insight card and select “Add Card”

Once you’ve chosen one of these options, you’ll be taken to the “Select Card Type” screen. Swipe left or right to choose a card, then tap “Add Card” to confirm.

Note: To add Energy Cost and Time of Use cards, you must first set your energy plan. Navigate to Settings → Energy Plan → Manage to set up your energy plan.

Adding Circuit Insight card

To add Circuit Insight cards, tap the Air-con circuit card in the “Select Card Type.” Then, scroll to your desired card type and tap the “Select Circuit” button. Choose a circuit from the list, tap Done, and then select Add Card.

Tapping on the circuit card from Insights or Home will take you to the corresponding circuit insight view.

Reorder Insight cards

To reorder cards, tap the arrow icon in the top right corner of the Insights screen or long-press any card to reorder it via the context menu in iOS.

Remove Insight cards

You can remove a card by navigating to its card type and tapping the “Remove” button. Alternatively, on iOS, you can remove a card through the context menu by long-pressing it.

Viewing insights and understanding your usage

Tapping on an insight card takes you to the corresponding insight screen. You can navigate between different data points (Usage, Cost, and Solar) using the dropdown button to open the context menu. Additionally, you can switch between Overview, Breakdown, or Percentage type views when on Energy Usage or Energy Cost.

The Percentage view lets you compare your usage and costs across circuits in your home, sorted by highest consumption. The Breakdown view offers a similar comparison but uses a stacked bar chart for a more detailed understanding over time.

Filter to view single-circuit insights

Filtering allows easy navigation between single-circuit views and the all-circuits view.

To view a single-circuit insight, tap the filter button on the Cost and Usage views, then select either “Filter Circuit” or “Single Circuit.” Choose the circuit you wish to view. Tap “All circuits” to return to the full panel view.

Tapping a circuit from the list in Breakdown or Percentage views takes you to the single-circuit view with the filter active.

Tapping back on “Single Circuit” takes you to the last selected circuit. To choose a different circuit, tap “Filter Circuit.”

When you tap a bar on the chart, it remains active when switching from Single Circuit to All Circuits, allowing for easy granular comparison.

Tip: Adding circuit cards to your Insights and Home makes it easier to navigate straight to a single-circuit insight view.

Viewing different time periods

You can switch between daily, monthly, and yearly views by tapping the segmented control button at the top of the screen. To select previous periods, tap the calendar button and choose the date you want to view.
