What we noticed
When James connected the Basis Panel, his ducted heat pump stood out. Because it warms the whole house at once, it was drawing far more power than he had realised even on nights when only the bedrooms needed heating.
What changed
The numbers made the smarter move clear. Running the ducted heat pump all night drew around 15 kWh; heating just the bedroom with a wall heater overnight uses about 4.2 kWh. James now sets that to run only across the seven hours of night-rate power. Same comfort, a fraction of the draw. James now has a complete picture of where his energy goes, and far more confidence making future calls on high-usage appliances.
Outcome
